I am looking for infield drills, fielding drills, play drills and batting practice ideas. How much time you spend on each drill. Do you run stations? I want to run a smooth practice that keeps the girls busy. What is a good practice schedule to run?

We run stations. 3-4 girls per station. 10-15 minutes per station depending on age of girls. The older, the longer.
Here is a typical 2 hour practice for us.
15 minutes warm up ( lots of throwing drills)
5 minute water break
10 minutes base running drills ( whole team)
5 minute water break
45 minutes drill stations ( 3 stations)
5 minute water break
15 minute team defensive practice
10-15 minute game fun time
10 minute wrap up and coaches talk
If you are looking for good hitting drills look into the products of Englishbeyhitting.com, RightViewPro, and Epstein. All have very good information.
If you want good defensive drills try eteamz.active.com and navigate to the softball drills page. Lots of stuff there.
Have fun and good luck.
At my practices sometimes we’ll do a whole practice on hitting others on infeild and soem of both. Usually we warm up our arms and stretch a run a little. Then they’ll do infeild by giving us examples of where the ball would need tog o if there was someone on 2nd, someone on 1st ect. then we might go into batting groups of 2 and 3 and hit against a live pitcher. (2 girls would bat together on a team and everyone else w oudl play ont he feild) the team with the most runs wins.
then they would finish with a runnign drill around the bases.
