In the winter its difficult to convince yourself to go practice outside, let alone convince a partner to do it with you.
So what other simple drills can i do inside my house?

Good goal. The exercise I am about to tell you was made for pitchers but can be used by anyone.
Depending on your arm strength, I would get a reasonably heavy weighted baseball. Use the baseball in the following exercises. You will also need a medicine ball.
1. Put your arm up three-five inches away from a wall. Bounce the weighted baseball against the wall and catch it. You should be getting tired by the 15-20th one. If not, your ball is either too light or too heavy.
2. Grip the medicine ball in one hand. Bring it up over your head and transfer the ball to the other hand. Repeat this process until your arm is tired.
3. Throw the medicine ball in a baseketball-type fashion to a another person. Make sure you are using your legs too. You do not want to damage your arm because you are just using your arms.
4. After you complete these exercises and rest, throw 5-10 pitches at full speed. (Try your best.) You will not see immediate improvement but eventually, you will. A study in Australia found that players who did similar excercises like these saw an increase in velocity within six weeks.
Use these excercises along with your normal workout. That should include weight training and sprinting. Good Luck.
i play baseball myself and am very passionate about it…my baseball team plays all year round..(based in ct, ny, nj,..but play national tournament everywhere)
during the winter we play at an indoor training facility…these are some exercises to do
first of all a local batting cage is a great place to go…id try going 2 or 3 times a week
medicine ball drills like overhead throw against a wall good for throwing
pushups are great
speed ladder drills (if you dont have a speed ladder you can use a marble floor, tape..)
take two plastic cups and put them about 8 ft apart then shuffle into a fielding position at each cone
also a great way to stay in shape and increase your speed is if you have a treadmill or something run about a mile a day, in time increase it 1 1/2, 2…
also if youre a serious ball player you’ll get yourself outside
if you do these drills 2 -4 times a week it will get you more than ready for the season
hope this helps man
